Hey everyone, I'm not sure if this just happened to me, but after I did this, I could only access my gmail account in Basic mode, and not in the standard mode. I went back into the settings and reset the values for the two modifications, and it now works fine (it will act as though they've been deleted).

You have definitely not understood what this post is about and I can't see any connection between this post and the link you have given. Sorry.

This post says how to enable the "Download Now" link in Firefox Addons site. Plus it also mentions about installing Firefox 2 plugin in Firefox 3 for the sake of completing it.
Regular readers of Daily Gyan will notice that the second part have already been covered here before(I have linked to that article in this post too) and it clearly mentions that I got it from the LifeHacker and have liked to them too:
